Just a thought here. Does anybody know a bank anywhere in the brick-and-mortar world that could “lend” it’s systems to use in Wirtland? Same as bit.ly system is used on 3rd party domains like http://ift.tt/ (link shortener for ifttt.com). IMHO it’s a pretty cool idea – to have a virtual bank. It will allow Wirtland to have a real growth, to register IT companies not just for an address but for banking needs(and real bank’s system will take care of identity check, fraud and tax-haven thing), to collect some small taxes on the profits coming through etc. I understand that this will invoke coming up with controlling entities like IRS and virtual police, and that idea of Wirtland is more on the “freedom” side than “controlling” but still, I think it’s worth keeping in mind. If current progress will go so far as to allow generic banking branded for a “custom country brand”, I’ll be the first to open bank account here. What do you think?
I am sure the future of Wirtland is with ideas such as yours. This idea can be put to life easily, if Wirtland had some banking pros among active members. As far as I know, some witizens attempted to contact various banks (especially in tax havens) offering to service Wirtland’s needs.
